The American International FWH598 is a plug-and-play amplified-system wiring harness specifically designed for 1998–2011 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles equipped with a factory premium/amplified sound system (Ford Premium Sound, Mach Audio, Audiophile, JBL, etc.).This harness allows you to install an aftermarket head unit while keeping the factory amplifier and all factory speakers fully operational — no need to bypass the amp or run new speaker wires. It plugs directly into the vehicle’s factory radio connectors and provides standard EIA-color-coded power/ground wires plus the critical blue remote turn-on lead that activates the factory amplifier.
